Interwoven - (in·ter-wō′vən) to weave or become woven together
90 Generative VHS Rug Voxel Wearables by Tewz
A vintage camcorder recording its own output creates a Video Feedback Loop. This loop was fed into a circuit-bent video mixer & 90 stills were captured. Because both textiles & video are interwoven, they share a common thread. The video stills become patterns for textiles.
VHS video recorders can't register the entire 5 MHz range from a TV broadcast. The bandwidth is reduced to 3.2 MHz at the expense of quality, sharpness, detail, clarity of color transitions & noise. A 2 MHz reduction can't be achieved w/ signal filtering alone. The bandwidth is reduced by separating the interwoven Y and C signals & putting them on tape separately. When played back, both components are re-mixed to one signal & transferred to the TV set.
